Orientation is jam-packed with tons of information, so you can hit the ground running.  I cover the top five puppy challenges most people struggle with at the beginning - house training, crate training, puppy biting, socializing, and animal husbandry.

Now that you know the course structure we dive into the nitty gritty of assessing your puppy with confidence courses.  We start the process of teaching your puppy to accept gentle handling and teach them the basic body positions of sit, down and touch.

In week 2, you will start to teach your puppy to have self-control which is often overlooked in other puppy classes, and it's such a shame.  Self-control is a foundational behavior that all others are built upon

In week 3 you will increase the challenge of basic body positions (so you don't always have to have a treat in your hand), learn about bone sharing as a resource guarding prevention exercise and advance your husbandry exercises so they are comfortable at the vet.  You will also learn the foundation of polite leash walking.

In week 4, you will learn how to teach your puppy not to jump on you, how to play tug and use it as a training exercise, how to use mental enrichment food toys to support your training program, and the foundational exercise for a rock solid adult recall behavior.  PLUS a FREE 30-minute coaching session to cover any questions or challenges you might have.

In week 5, we wrap up the course; you will learn how to understand and guide dog-to-dog play, how to create a reinforcement map so you don't have to use only treats to reinforce desirable behaviors, as well as a recap of everything you have learned in a graduation test.
